WP3 - Risk Assessment and Cost Benefit

WP3 will include collecting and developing tools and methods for environmental risk assessment and cost-benefit analysis. WP3 will mainly build on the results from WP1 and WP2 in GEOreCIRC. Using the collected/developed tools and methods, in addition to the results from WP1 and WP2, a "design manual" (BAT) for beneficial re-use of contaminated geo-materials will be made.

In the early stages of the procject, the work in WP3 will be focused on going through current regulations, reports, manuals and standards dealing with environmental risk assessment and re-using contaminated geo-materials. This work aims to map out which factors are essential for risk assessment so they can be used in planning the testsing programs for WP2.

The central part of the work in WP3 will be done towards the end of the GEOreCIRC project, when the results from the other work packages are available. The results and experiences from WP1 and WP2 will then be the basis for creating a "design manual" (BAT) for the beneficial re-use of contaminated geo-materials. This manual will be the main product of WP3.
